The kit is a drop in shell kit, no cutting, or even opening the Ranger, install should take about 1 minutes.
Shells are pressure fit, so give them a little push when inserting.

Another high quality great product from XFoxGames. These barrels fit the Adventure Force Ranger perfectly. My local nerf club has mega only rounds and this is a great way to get into the mega only rounds. And carry during normal rounds in case I run into a person using a shield. If you haven't already, be sure to subscribe to his youtube videos.

The inline short dart barrels do function, however... They are too short to use with 4 darts (fires 2 at once), yet longer than they need to be for 3 darts. I find this pretty annoying to be honest.
The mega barrels are unnecessarily long, absurdly so IMO. There is another etsy shop making slim mega barrels for the ranger that do not increase the size of the blaster at all.
I absolutely love these barrels! They do exactly as advertised. If you get them and they're a tight fit, I'd recommend a small amount of sanding. They can be a little tough to pull out. Thanks Joe! They've been a blast!

ps: I had a tiny bit of trouble lining up the part to the blaster but learned that it's better to line it up with the 3 grooves on the outer side of the toy
